Julio César is a baptist pastor in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba’s second-largest city. Intrigued by the idea of returning to Jesus’ original model for discipleship, Julio César’s church shifted from a group discipleship model to a focus on one-to-one relationships. Despite challenges such as government censorship and economic limitations, Julio César’s church is seeing greater spiritual and relational depth grow in people’s lives and has a renewed passion for disciple-making. Julio César has a vision to see this fruit grow—training other pastors and church leaders throughout Cuba and beyond to build a new culture of disciple-making across Latin America.
- Over 300 Cuban pastors have been trained.
- Julio César is planning trips to train pastors in Panama, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.
